Don Jr. and Michelle Burgin, of Sedalia, and Douglas and Jalana Kinde, of Lebanon, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Monica N. Kinde, of Pittsburgh, to Dr. John D. Persons, of Pittsburgh. He is the son of Joe and Carol Persons, of La Farge, Wis.
The future bride, a 2001 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, received a doctorate in chemistry this year from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb. She is currently performing her post-doctoral in the anesthesiology department at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
