La Strada announces consolidation of polling places for June 5 ambulance board election

Posted: Friday, May 11, 2012 12:00 am | Updated: 12:12 pm, Wed Sep 5, 2012.

Pettis County Clerk Nick La Strada announced Friday that he will consolidate to six polling places for the June 5 special election to elect six board members for the Pettis County Ambulance District.

La Strada told the Democrat the move came after consulting with other county clerks who have staged similar special elections and with candidates in the district race. With the newly-created ambulance district bearing the entire cost of the June election, which he estimates would have cost about $35,000, La Strada said the move will save the district between $12,000 and $15,000.
