Fourth Congressional District residents talked issues ranging from ballooning debt and the rising threat from China to the authenticity of President Obama’s birth certificate with U.S. Rep. Vicky Hartzler during a midday town hall on Thursday.

Hartzler, a Harrisonville Republican who is on the Armed Services and Agriculture committees, told a crowd of about 70 at State Fair Community College that the town hall, one of 18 planned stops in the district, is an opportunity to see what issues are on the minds of voters so she can “bring some of the Fourth District’s common-sense ideas and some of our heartland values to what they are doing in Washington.”
