City officials and Parks and Recreation Department Park Board members were on hand Thursday to help Angie Watterson and Jason Kindle, center, cut the ribbon on Centennial Park’s new ADA playground. Watterson and Kindle helped Parks Director Mark Hewitt with the design of the playgound, which includes ramps, brightly colored and textured ground toys and a wheelchair swing. Watterson’s family, including her 6-year-old twins, Hannah and Dillon, who have disabilities, were the inspiration for the playground.
