Man stabbed in attempted robbery

A Sedalia man was stabbed in an attempted robbery early Tuesday morning, according to Police Department reports.

Kevin D. Allard, 35, was cut on his head and stabbed on his left side just after midnight in the 200 block of West Broadway Boulevard, reports stated. Officers were called to Bothwell Regional Health Center where Allard sought treatment. A hospital spokesman said no information was available about Allard.

According to reports, Allard told officers he was walking when four men approached him. One man demanded Allardís money, but Allard told them he didnít have any.

A man lunged at Allard and cut him on the top of his head with a knife. Allard was stabbed on his left side while trying to fight the men off, officers reported.

The men ran away going north, and Allard ran south, reports stated.
