Three injured in Highway 65 crash

Two Pettis County teens and a woman were hurt in a two-car collision on U.S. Highway 65, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.

Kristina A. Izoita, 13, and Veronica Soyarkova, 13, both of Hughesville, were both taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center after 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Tabatha L. Towner, 18, of Lincoln, was taken to Sweet Springs Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries, troopers reported.

The accident happened as Towner was northbound on U.S. Highway 65 at state Route J. Antonina Soyarkova, 40, of Hughesville, crossed into Towner’s path off of state Route J, and Towner struck the passenger side of Soyarkova’s vehicle, which traveled off the roadway and overturned, according to Highway Patrol reports.

Troopers report charges are pending in the ongoing investigation of the accident.
