Crime Stoppers seeks info on theft

Pettis County Crime Stoppers is seeking assistance from the public on the recent theft of an air conditioner from New Bethel Methodist Church on U.S. Highway 65.



A Trane, three-and-a-half-ton air conditioning unit valued at $1,000, which was donated to the church, was stolen from the property sometime during the overnight hours of Dec. 21 and 22, according to a report from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.



Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the person or people involved in the case.



Anyone with information on the theft can call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 827-8477. Phone lines are not recorded and callers do not have to give their name.
