Indianapolis man dies in 1-70 accident

An Indianapolis man died in a highway accident on Wednesday in Saline County.

Thomas F. King, 54, was driving westbound on Interstate 70 at state Route 127 at 10:50 p.m. when his vehicle ran off the right side of the highway, struck a guardrail and overturned while descending a grassy embankment, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

King was taken by ambulance to I-70 Medical Center in Sweet Springs, where he was pronounced dead.

He was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
