A Knob Noster woman was injured following a vehicle accident at 6:13 p.m., Thursday in Johnson County.

Hannah M. Anderson, 24, was driving west on U.S. 50 Highway when she swerved to the left to avoid a slower moving vehicle. She then overcorrected, causing her to skid off the right side of the road, overturn and hit two trees, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Anderson, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, was taken to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence for her injuries.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
