The Sacred Heart Gremlins fell behind 11-0 Monday at Centennial Park and lost 15-11 to St. Paul Lutheran in a nonconference baseball game.
The Saints scored eight runs in the second and three in the third.
Sacred Heart answered with six runs in the bottom of the third and three in the fifth to climb within 13-10.
The Saints tallied a run in the top of the seventh to extend their lead to 15-11, but Sacred Heart loaded the bases in the bottom half. However, the Gremlins stranded all three runners.
The Gremlins (2-1)stranded the bases loaded twice in the game.
Cale Spangler was charged with the loss, allowing 10 runs on 11 hits with one strikeout and one walk in 3 2-3 innings.
Sacred Heartís defense committed four errors.
Spangler went 3 for 4 and Rock Curry 3 for 5 to lead the Gremlinsí offense. Ben Smeltzer went 2 for 4 and Jerrion Jackson hit a solo homer.
