She was a church secretary and worked at ACF Industries. She was a member of a traveling club and a dancing club. She was a hospital volunteer in St. Charles.
She has seven children, Dr. Phillip Hornbostel, Rowland Hornbostel, Steve Hornbostel, Chris Hornbostel, Bruce Linn, Roger Linn and Scott Linn; and several grandchildren.
Eula Harms observed her 82nd birthday on Friday.
She was born Aug. 3, 1930, in Pettis County.
She worked at Mode-O-Day in Kansas City and operated a restaurant in Sedalia. She used to enjoy dancing and playing cards.
She has two sons, Gary Harms, of Sedalia, and Larry Harms, of Independence; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Hallye J. Meisenheimer will observe her 85th birthday on Aug. 17.
She was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Missouri. She is married to Herman Meisenheimer, who also lives at the center.
She was a cook at Smithton School. She enjoys cross-stitching, gardening, doing puzzles, canning and traveling. She is a member of a church choir. She was a volunteer at Open Door and Bothwell Regional Health Center.
She has two children, Bonnie Lane, of Smithton, and Calvin Meisenheimer, of Indiana; and two grandchildren.
Lavera Griggs will observe her 96th birthday on Aug. 28.
She was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Nebraska. She was married to Charles Griggs, who died earlier.
She sold Avon and was a housewife. She served on the Sedalia Senior Center Board for 10 years and played piano in a kitchen band. She sang in the church choir and enjoyed playing the piano and organ.
She has three children, Ted Griggs, of Mount Pleasant, Mich., and the late Clarence Griggs and Charlotte Marie Craig; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
