Hannah Ott, of Sedalia, was selected as the top JROTC Cadet in Missouri for the 2012 year. This is the highest award a JROTC cadet can be awarded by the Department of Missouri, American Legion.
Cadet Lt. Col. Ott is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ott, and is sister to Kendall and Krysta. Her accomplishments are many and her 4.0 grade point average and class ranking were determining factors in her selection above all other nominations submitted by JROTC programs state wide.
She attended Missouri American Legion Auxiliary Girl’s State at the University of Central Missouri. She will be a guest at the American Legion Fall Conference in October, where she will receive formal recognition. She was sponsored by George A. Whiteman Memorial Post 642 and its Americanism/children and youth committee.
