This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. The information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.

Oct. 4

4:19 p.m.: Lauren A. Whitfield, 21, of Smithton, in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard, on a charge of stealing.

4:19 p.m.: Alicia M. Sattler, 19, of La Monte, in the 3200 block of West Broadway Boulevard, on a charge of stealing.

7:24 p.m.: Mark A. Hawkins, 48, of the 1900 block of South Harrison Avenue, at South Grand Avenue and West 11th Street, on a charge of possession of marijuana.

7:41 p.m.: Nicanor Esquivel, 67, of the 1300 block of East Boonville Avenue, in the 1200 block of East Boonville Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license.

Oct. 5

1:11 a.m.: Jeremy S. Gross 41, of Lincoln, at West 16th Street and South Vermont Avenue, on charges of possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, defective tail lights and expired vehicle registration.


Oct. 3

8:30 a.m.: A 1995 Chevy Blazer was broken into and a Tom Tom GPS system, MP3 player and car stereo were stolen while it was parked in the 500 block of East 10th Street.

Oct. 4

9:05 a.m.: An assault occurred in the 700 block of East 15th Street.

9:59 a.m.: A 1995 Mercury Cougar was stolen while it was parked in the 3100 block of West Broadway Boulevard.

Noon: A residence in the 1100 block of East 12th Street was broken into and several frozen meat products were stolen.
