SpoFest Halloween-themed show slated Oct. 21

SpoFest’s Halloween-themed reading event, “SpookFest,” will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at the End Zone Sports Bar & Grill in Sedalia. The event will include a costume contest, Edgar Allan Poe trivia, night-time cemetery photography and scary poetry and prose.

Admission is free.

Before SpoFest, there will be a “Snakes Alive!” show at 3:30 p.m.

An auction will follow the show. It will feature a SpoFest coffee mug, a “SpookFest” shirt and gift certificates from area businesses including Cafe Blackader, Kehde’s Barbeque, Reader’s World, El Espolon Mexican Restaurant and more.

In case of rain, the show will move to the Liberty Center.

“SpookFest” T-shirts can be ordered in advance of the show. The cost is $10 and the deadline is Oct. 10. For more information, visit Shirts will also be available for $20 at the show.
