Entries needed for oratorical contest

American Legion Post 642 is hosting an oratorical scholarship contest. Students must prepare and orate a speech about the U.S. Constitution. No cheat cards are allowed. Brochures are available to all high school students.

Various awards and scholarship money is awarded at different levels of the competition.

The district-level winner is eligible for a renewable yearly scholarship to Lindenwood University in St. Louis. At the department level, scholarship money up to $2,000 is awarded and at the national level up to $20,000 is awarded.
