Jobs and opportunity are the cornerstones of a democracy. Without jobs and opportunity, people lose hope and desire to be civil and productive members of society. To create jobs, the government must maintain the freedom and incentive to invest in the economy.
Investors will only provide investments in areas that are secure, create a return and are predictable. It comes full circle in the economy. Jobs provide hope and desire to ensure civil stability to assure investors their investments are secure and profitable. Investments and jobs provide the tax base to support infrastructure and a strong military. A strong military is essential in defending democracies based on freedom and human rights throughout the world. Without jobs, the democracy is fragile at best.
Balance the budget. Immediately reduce all spending that is not essential. Continue investment-centered tax initiatives that create jobs. Eliminate tax incentives/advantages for companies that move jobs out of the U.S. Focus the tax incentives on the creation of revenue and things (manufacturing, mining, technology). Reduce the size of government, red tape and bureaucracies. Support veterans and military. Eliminate ObamaCare and focus on medical care efficiency, which the free market can handle. Support the Second Amendment. No bailouts — the free market will rescue those deserving. Support an energy policy that safely opens up our vast resources and rewards green initiatives. Support education that is broad-based and skills-oriented, not just focused on college degrees.
Vote for the candidate best suited at creating jobs.
