RSVP seeks tax prep volunteers

January 9, 2013

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is still seeking individuals who are interested in becoming tax preparation volunteers.

No prior tax knowledge or training is needed for this program, but computer proficiency is strongly recommended.  A representative from the University of Missouri Extension will provide mandatory training on Internal Revenue Service tax materials.

RSVP is seeking volunteers who are friendly, dependable and have an eye for detail.

Volunteers will serve flexible hours at the Pettis County Community Partnership or First United Methodist Church.

Mandatory training will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Pettis County Community Partnership, 515 S. Kentucky Ave.

Call Tonya Fennell, RSVP director, at 826-4212 to sign up for training.
