Letter: Non-Christians are on the wrong path

January 12, 2013

Bonnie Erbe’s commentary (“Loss of Christians political power will be a blessing for all of us,” Jan. 1) shows us many things about our nation. Being a Christian is spiritual and moral, not political.

Massive immigration has changed our country, but not for the better. Many are coming for the Social Security and handouts. There are not enough working people and jobs to support everyone. The Obama health care will bankrupt our country. We can’t spend more than we have.

The fiscal cliff is nothing compared to the spiritual and moral cliff we are leaping over. We certainly are having large numbers of Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and all manner of non-Christian faiths with solid followings on United States soil. The gods that these people follow will never save them. There is one God. God the father, God the son and God the holy spirit. Jesus is the only divine son of God. The Ten Commandments, Exodus 20:3, “You shall have no other gods before me.”

Erbe seems happy to leap over the spiritual and moral cliff and not be a nation under God. Only the Lord, Jesus Christ, knows what lies ahead. He promises all who put their faith and trust in him to be with them every step of the way — “even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20.

Praying for great spiritual revival.
