Women's college basketball: Central Missouri 60, Northwest Missouri 52

BreAnna Lewis scored 21 of her game-high 23 points in the second half Saturday, and the Central Missouri Jennies beat Northwest Missouri 60-52 in a MIAA women’s basketball game in Warrensburg.

The 16th-ranked Jennies closed the first half on a 14-4 run but still trailed Northwest Missouri 28-26 at the break. It opened the game with a 12-0 run.

Behind Lewis, Central Missouri (15-2, 7-2 MIAA) went ahead 29-28 on her 3-pointer 30 seconds into the second half and extended its lead to 37-31 with 17:26 left in the game.

Keuna Flax had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Jennies, and Nicole Caddell had 11 points and is only 13 shy of 1,000 career points.
