Two Columbia teenagers were injured in a vehicle accident at 6 a.m. Sunday in Cooper County.

Tarrence M. Clark, 20, of St. Louis, was driving east on Interstate 70 nearing the 96-mile marker when he fell asleep, lost control of his vehicle and overturned in the median, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Two passengers in Clark’s vehicle, Marquan E. Long and Calvin M. Woods, both 18, were taken to Cooper County Hospital for their injuries. Reports indicate all three were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

Information is taken from preliminary Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved.
