Alex Lang, a 2010 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, has been named to the All-Great American Conference second team for baseball.

Lang was the only Arkansas-Monticello player to start all 47 regular-season games. He started his first 35 games at second base before moving to shortstop for the final 12.

Lang batted .303 with three doubles and one triple. He was second on the team in RBIs (32). He led the conference with 32 walks and was struck by a pitch 10 times, producing an on-base percentage of .449.

The Boll Weevils entered conference tournament play Saturday with a 29-18 record.
