SFCC to offer class on caves

June 21, 2013

State Fair Community College will offer a summer class on caves and caving that will include a field trip to Jacobís Cave.

Participants will learn about caves and cave exploring, from ethical behavior and what to wear to what rocks and animals they might encounter.

The class will meet from 6-7:30 p.m. July 15 and 22 in Yeater Learning Center Room 149 on the Sedalia campus.

A field trip to Jacobís Cave, a commercial cave south of Versailles, will be taken on a Saturday to be determined by the group.

The cost is $99 and the instructor will be Blake Stephens, of the Missouri Conservation Department.
