McDonald and a passenger on his motorcycle, Tammy R. McDonald, 39, of Maxwell, Ind., were both taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. Reports indicate Whitney was wearing a seat belt and both motorcycle passengers were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
