Trinity Pyrmont Lutheran presents annual Christmas story


Trinity Pyrmont Lutheran Church, northwest of Stover, will host their annual Olde Tyme Christmas in the County at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.


This year’s theme is “Joy in the Woods.” Participants from the community will present the Christmas story with word and song. There will be live broadcasting to the fellowship hall for additional seating room. Refreshments will be served.


The offering received will be supplemented by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and will be divided between the Stover and Cole Camp food pantries.


The church is located at 2831 Pyrmont Rd. (near state Route M and state Route 135 junction, north of Stover).


Cookie festival at Immanuel Lutheran Church Sweet Springs


The 13th annual cookie festival will take place at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs, 110 Main St. The festival is sponsored by the ladies of the church.


Twenty varieties of cookies, homemade candy and decorated sugar cookies will be available. Cookies are $10 per box, (that you fill), candy is $6 per pound. For additional information call 815-7976.


Broadway Presbyterian Church has pancake breakfast


Broadway Presbyterian Church, 209 W. Broadway Blvd., will have an all you can eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 7. Ticket donation is $5 for adults, $3 for under 12, and free for 2 and under.


Calvary Baptist presents Christmas Cantata


The Calvary Baptist Church, 1015 W. 16th St., will present their annual Christmas Cantata, “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem,” at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15.


Carolers are welcome to join in later for singing from 5 to 6 p.m.
