Taxpayers lined up Thursday to pay their taxes at the Pettis County Collector’s office. 2013 property tax bills are due by midnight Tuesday. The office will maintain normal business hours through the end of the year, opening from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tax bills may also be dropped in the secure dropbox on the courthouse lawn or online at pettismo.devnetwedge.com. A 2.5 percent fee is added to debit and credit card payments; taxpayers may also use electronic checks to pay their bills online, with an additional charge of $1.50 per E-check. For more information call the Collector’s office at 826.5000 ext. 426 or 427.
