Kansas woman injured in Benton County
A Shawnee, Kan., woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday in Benton County.
Marilyn P. Turner, 69, was driving south on state Route 7 near state Route AA when she failed to negotiate a curve and her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, striking several trees before catching fire, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Turner was taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach with moderate injuries. Reports indicate she was wearing a seat belt.

Man injured in funeral procession
A Sedalia man was injured in a collision at 9:56 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Kentucky Avenue and U.S. Highway 50.
Matthew W. Borland, 54, was driving south in a funeral procession when he failed to yield to a red light and was struck by a vehicle driven by Frank A. Corona, 43, of Versailles, according to a Sedalia Police Department report.
Borland was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries. Reports indicate both drivers were wearing a seat belt.
