Five Sedalia teens were injured in a single car accident early Sunday morning in Pettis County, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Kyler B. Pierson, 17, was driving northbound on South Grand Avenue south of Forest Park Road about 2:40 a.m. when he attempted to take a curve at a high speed and lost control of the vehicle which ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned.

In addition to Pierson, who sustained minor injuries and was treated and released by EMS, passengers Jordan Brisban, 15, moderate injuries; Jonathon B. Holland, 15, serious injuries; Jeremie C. Strobel, 17, moderate injuries; and Glenden White, 17, minor injuries, were treated or transported to area hospitals.

Reports indicate that all but Holland were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
