Girl injured at State Fair


A Pleasant Hill girl was injured in an accident at 8:55 p.m. Sunday on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.


Jack D. Rhoades, 81, of Sturgeon, was driving south in a dirt lot when his vehicle struck an unoccupied parked vehicle, which struck a fence before striking a vehicle whose towed unit was occupied by several people, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.


One occupant, Tyne C. Wilson, 7, of Pleasant Hill, was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries. Reports indicate Rhoades was wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred.


Woman injured in Pettis County Collision


A Bogard woman was injured in a collision at 6 p.m. Sunday in Pettis County.


Phillip Wellman, 46, of Bogard, was driving north on U.S. Highway 65 in the left lane when he changed lanes, striking a vehicle in the right lane driven by Nicholas Wells, 34, of St. Louis, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.


A passenger in the Wellman vehicle, Ventia Wellman, 40, also of Bogard, was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries. Reports indicate all parties were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.


Man injured after motorcycle strikes dog


A Kingsville man was injured in an accident at 5:45 p.m. Saturday in Johnson County.


Robert M. Kelly, 66, was driving east on NW 300 Road, west of state Route W, when his motorcycle struck a dog and he was ejected, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.


Kelly was taken to Lee’s Summit Medical Center with moderate injuries. Reports indicate he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
