Allcorn-Scalzitti wedding

Sara Elizabeth Allcorn, of Cole Camp, and Nicholas John Scalzitti, of Chicago, were married at 4 p.m. June 20 at Maplewood Church in Sedalia.
 

The bride is the daughter of Donald and Brenda Allcorn, of Cole Camp. The groom is the son of Leonard and Elvira Scalzitti, of Westmont, Ill.


The Rev. Gary Armstrong conducted the ceremony. Scott Admire was the organist. Jason Scalzitti was a vocalist.


The bride was given in marriage by her father.


Kathryn Lotz, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Alyssa Allcorn and Ashton Allcorn, sisters of the bride, and Rachel Scalzitti, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids. Emma Scalzitti, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.


Jason Scalzitti, brother of the groom, was the best man. Matthew Scalzitti, brother of the groom, Daniel Phillips and David DeMoss were groomsmen. John Charles and Christopher Admire, cousins of the bride, were candlelighters. Jared Lotz, Andy Martin and Paul Dagenais were ushers.


A rehearsal dinner was held by the groom’s parents June 19 at the Ivory Grille. The reception was at the church.


The bride, a 2003 graduate of Applewood Christian School in Sedalia, received a bachelor of arts degree in biology and chemistry from Drury University in Springfield in 2007. She is attending St. Louis University School of Medicine.


The groom, a 2003 graduate of Marquette Manor High School in Chicago, received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry from Loyola University in Chicago in 2007. He also is attending St. Louis University School of Medicine.
 

The couple honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii. They live in St. Louis.
