Hawkins to celebrate 80th birthday

William “Bill” Hawkins, of Sedalia, will celebrate his 80th birthday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 at his home at 6009 Lowe Drive.
He was born Aug. 19, 1928. He is married to Glenda Rhoads.
He served with the 24th Infantry Division, 13th Field Artillery, during the Korean War. He served in Korea and Japan in 1951 and 1952.
He was associated with Hawkins Insurance Agency in Edina for 30 years, before he retired in 1988.
