Abney celebrates 80th birthday

Edna M. Abney, of Sedalia, celebrated her 80th birthday with a surprise party, hosted by her sons and their families, on Dec. 31, 2011, at Golden Corral.
She was born Dec. 27, 1931, a daughter of A. C. and Gladys Kroeger. She is the oldest of five siblings. She was married to A.G. Abney, who died earlier.
She worked for Sedalia School District 200.
She has three sons, Andy Abney, of Smithton, Chris Abney, of Sedalia, and Mark Abney, of Columbia.
More than 50 family members and friends attended the celebration.
