Schmiege named national honor student

Grace Schmiege, of Oakboro, N.C., has been named a United States National Honor Student award winner by the United States Achievement Academy.

She will appear in the academy’s official yearbook.

She is the daughter of Michael and Donia Schmiege, of Oakboro, and granddaughter of Tom and Sandra Miller, of Monticello, Fla., and Don and Mary Richard, of Cole Camp.
