Two-vehicle accident injures two in Pettis County

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday in Pettis County.
The driver, Ashley N. Cowsert, 19, and her passenger, Ryan M. Popp, 20, both of Sedalia, were taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
The accident occurred at 1:17 p.m. as a vehicle driven by Kari L. Wendy, 20, of Kingfisher, Okla., was pulling out from a business at the intersection of 16th Street and Thompson Boulevard, attempting to travel southbound on Thompson Boulevard in Sedalia.
Wendy’s vehicle hit Cowsert’s vehicle that was traveling westbound on 16th Street. According to Sedalia Police Department reports, all the people involved were wearing seat belts.
