Air Show Awareness

509th Bomb Wing Public Affairs

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. - Come rain or shine, team Whiteman anticipates a large turnout on June 6 for the 2009 "Wings Over Whiteman" Air Show and Open House. We are urging all military personnel, civilian employees, and retirees to prepare prior to June 6. This includes trips to the commissary, base exchange, and passes or excursions off base as to curb the amount of congestion.

For air show guests, gates are open 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.   Admission and parking are free. There will be plenty to enjoy for all ages, from the B-2 Spirit to a live performance by Lee Greenwood.

A few key things to help your day flow smoothly:

DIRECTIONS & PARKING

If traveling from Kansas City, Mo., use Highway 50 East and turn right onto Highway J in Knob Noster. Follow road directly to the Arnold Gate to Whiteman AFB.
