April 21 police reports

• Charles J. Eaton, 28, of Clarksburg, was arrested at 8:35 p.m. Sunday at East Third Street and South Osage Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspended license, according to Sedalia Police Department reports. Eaton was taken to Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.

• Taya L. Hardin, 27, of the 400 block of West Fourth Street, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. Sunday at West Main Street and South Missouri Avenue on a charge of driving with a suspend license, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

• Jesse Lee Hart, 22, of the 2500 block of East Broadway Boulevard, was arrested at 6:28 p.m. Sunday at the 700 block of East Broadway Boulevard on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

• David C. Greenway, 39, of the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court, was arrested at 3:43 p.m. Sunday at East Third Street and South Engineer Avenue on a charge of driving with a revoked license, according to Sedalia Police Department reports. He was taken to Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.

Burglary
Steve Bates, of 30775 McCormick Road, reported Thursday a burglary at his home, in which several items were taken, according Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reports.

Thefts
• Kevin Wagenknecht, of 1609 S. Montgomery Ave., reported Sunday a red Sears Craftsman push mower was stolen from his home, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

• Amy Zeiler, of 216 S. Prospect Ave., reported Sunday her son’s bicycle was taken from the front yard, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

• Lucy Busing, of 1001 W. Third St., reported Sunday a green boys bike was taken from her yard, according to Sedalia Police Department reports. Busing told police the chain and lock used to secure the bicycle to a tree were also taken, reports stated.

Property Damage
Peter W. Donatti, of 1700 S. Montgomery Ave., reported Sunday his garage window had been broken, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

Hit and Run
Brian Crews, of 919 W. 10th St., reported Monday a vehicle hit a retaining wall at his home and took off, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

It's a great idea. Volunteers will clean up the mess and improve Sedalia's image.
It's a horrible idea. DNR and the court should force the owner to clean it up pronto and fine him until he complies.
