Dorothy Heatwole, of Warrensburg, announces the engagement of her daughter, Dawn Heatwole, of Sedalia, to Johnny Baker II, of Sedalia. He is the son of John and Susan Baker, of Sedalia.

The future bride, a 1996 graduate of Warrensburg High School, is attending State Fair Community College. She received her cosmetology license from Warrensburg Cosmetology School in 2000. She is a hair stylist at Hair Dynamics in Warrensburg.

The future groom, a 1998 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, is an owner of Baker’s Car Corral in Sedalia.

A Nov. 8 wedding is planned at Amigos de Cristo Iglesia Luterano in Sedalia.
