First Baptist welcomes new pastor

The Rev. Dan Hankins recently became the pastor of Faith Baptist Church at 2331 S. Ingram Ave.

Hankins was born and raised in Taney County. He attended Northland Baptist Bible College in Dunbar, Wisc. In 1995, he was a missionary to Uruguay, South America, with Baptist World Mission.

While serving in Las Piedras, Uruguay, he and his wife established the Bethel Baptist Church, directed the Baptist World Mission Bible Camp, established a Bible Institute to train men and women for Christ's service and produced a weekly radio broadcast.
