Sponsors needed for airman project

To welcome Whiteman Air Force Base personnel into the community, the Chamber’s Military Affairs Committee is coordinating the “Sponsor an Airman” project. Local businesses, organizations and individuals may sponsor an entry level ranking airman or airman first class.
Their sponsorship will allow these men and women to attend the Missouri State Fair and the Charlie Daniels, .38 Special and Shooter Jennings concert on Aug. 8.
Each sponsorship is $35. The deadline to participate is July 25.
Checks may be sent to the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce, Attention: Sponsor an Airman, 600 E. Third St., Sedalia, MO 65301.
