Lyrica M. Beck, Sedalia
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Lyrica M. Beck, 20, of Sedalia, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at University Hospital in Columbia, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
She was born Sept. 8, 1986, in Sedalia, a daughter of Charles Michael and Melody Rose Schlobohm Beck.
She was raised and educated in Sedalia and was a 2004 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She was attending Missouri Valley College in Marshall, pursuing a degree in teaching. She was taking modern dance and participating in the show choir. She was a manager of Subway and Taco Del Mar.
She was a registered organ donor. Three people were the recipients of her gift of life.
Surviving are her father, Charles M. Beck, of Sedalia; her mother, Melody R. Swearingen, and her husband, Mark, of Sedalia; a sister, Corissa M. Beck, of Sedalia; and her paternal grandparents, Gerald and Wanda J. Smith, of Otterville.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Norman and Daisy Schlobohm; and her paternal grandfather, Charles J. Beck.
A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with Pastor David Beck officiating. Pallbearers will be L.D. Schlobohm, Stephen Beck, Jeffrey Ransdell, Timothy Deuschle, Jen Schantz and Jessica Adkins. Burial will be in Rabourn Cemetery in La Monte. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Lyrica Beck Memorial Fund, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
