May 15 police reports

Wendy J. Hendrix, 33, of the 1600 block of South Carr Avenue, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday on the 1100 block of East 16h Street on charge of driving on a suspended license, according to Sedalia Police Deparment reports. She was released Wednesday at Pettis County Jail on $824.50 bail.

Maria G. Torres, 42, of La Monte, was arrested on a municipal warrant at 12:38 a.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on the 2000 block of West Broadway Boulevard, according to Sedalia Police Deparment reports. Torres was also issued summonses for speeding and having no driver’s license, reports stated. Torres was released Thursday at Pettis County jail on 79.50 bail, a jail spokesman said.

Property Damage

Roseanna M. Parker, 18, of Smithton, reported Thursday the passenger side window of her vehicle was broken out between midnight and 12:21 a.m. while the car was parked near 115 W. Main St., according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

An employee of the Cork N Bottle, 3806 E. Broadway Blvd, reported Thursday the door of the business had been damaged between 1 and 4 a.m. Thursday in an apparent attempt to break into the business, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

Barbara Southard, age and address not given, reported Tuesday the yard at 2196 McVey Road was driven through, causing damage, according to Pettis County Sheriff’s Department reports.

Hit and Run

Amanda M. Prewitt, 27, of 1610 Honeysuckle Road, reported Wednesday an unidentified vehicle struck her vehicle between 5:18 p.m. and 5:33 p.m., according to Sedalia Police Department reports. Prewitt said she did not know where the damage happened, reports stated.

Alexis G. Billingsley, 11, of 636 W. Broadway Blvd., reported she collided with a blue car while riding her bike about 4:15 p.m. in an alley between West Ninth Street and West 10th Street and Thompson Avenue and Hancock Avenue, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

Found drugs

Police on Wednesday were given crack-cocaine that was found sometime after 9 p.m. on the 3000 block of West Broadway Boulevard, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

Theft

John W. Birkett, of 315 N. Engineer Ave., reported Wednesday a case containing 150 compact discs and prescription medication were stolen from his unlocked vehicle just after 1 p.m. while he was at a Break Time convenience store, 808 E. Broadway Blvd., according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

Coby D. Phillips, 46, of 22537 U.S. 65, lot 49, reported Wednesday his cell phone was stolen from his vehicle just after 1:30 p.m. while it was parked at 513 W. Main St., according to Sedalia Police Department reports.

Lynn Huffman, 37, of 818 E. 9th St., reported Wednesday a string trimmer was taken from her front yard between 4 and 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to Sedalia Police Department reports.
