Dennis W. Brand, Otterville
Dennis William Brand, 62, of Otterville, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at his home.
He was born April 25, 1946, in Russellville, a son of Marvin and Mary Holder Brand. On May 20, 1970, he was married to Rosemary Wolverton, who survives of the home.
He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sedalia. He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1965 to 1969. He graduated from Smithton High School. He was a machine operator at Alcan Cable for several years.
Also surviving are a son, Kevin Brand, and his wife, Sarah, of Columbia; his mother, of Versailles; a brother, Jerry Brand, of Pilot Grove; three sisters, Marilyn Clark, of Otterville, Linda Brand and Brenda Bradley, all of Versailles; and three grandchildren, Kaleb Dennis Brand, Elizabeth Brand and Emily Brand.
He was predeceased by his father and a sister, Carolyn Sue Kelley.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Otterville, with the Rev. Al Oetman officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Bradley, Kyle Blackmore, Leon Grinstead, Joshua Rose, Clayton Skaggs, Nathaniel Hammond and Daniel Hammond. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Litton and Scott Litton.
Military rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2591. The family will receive friends from noon until service time Friday at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Otterville.
