Ted Brown, Lincoln

Virgil Ted Brown, 70, died Sunday evening, June 29, 2008, at the Lincoln Community Nursing Home.

He was born Oct. 13, 1937, in Park Rapids, Minn., a son of Floyd and Verla Geller Brown. On July 30, 1974, he was married to Berlidene Spry, who survives of the home.

He grew up in Minnesota. He moved to the Kansas City area, where he was a steel worker. He owned his own roofing company, before moving to the Edwards area. He lived on a farm near Edwards.

Surviving are a daughter, Crystal Kutsche, and her husband, Walter, of Lebanon; a sister, Phyllis Danielson, of Kansas City; and a grandson, Trevor, of Lebanon.

He was predeceased by three brothers Donald, Ernest and Merle Brown; and a grandson Canyon Lee Brown.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cable Ridge Cemetery near Edwards, with the Rev. Steve Hasper officiating. There will be no visitation.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Benton County Hospice or Lincoln Community Nursing Home, in care of Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.
