Sharon A. Bullock, Tipton
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Sharon Ann Bullock, 59, of Tipton, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City.
She was born Aug. 29, 1948, in Normandy, Mo., a daughter of Volney Carl
and Dorothy Ann Schoder Rooke. On Oct. 19, 1968, she married Robert
Bullock, who survives of the home.
She graduated from Hazelwood High School in North St. Louis in 1966.
She studied English and history in Durham, England, during summer 1968.
She graduated from Central Methodist College in Fayette in 1970. She
received her master’s degree in 1973 from Southern Methodist University
in Dallas. She moved to Tipton from Doniphan in 2006. She did
substitute teaching in California, Mo., Clarksburg and Tipton the past
two years. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church
Women’s Group. She was a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir.
She was a needlework crafter.
Also surviving are two daughters, Heidi Lynn Weaver, and her husband,
Paul, of Cape Girardeau, and Erin Kay Morris, and her husband, Stanley,
of Springfield; a son, William Marcus Bullock, and his wife, Kathleen,
of Farmington; her father, of Wildwood; a sister, Sandra Ruth Turner,
Davenport, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Laurel Hill
Cemetery in St. Louis, with the Rev. Michael Keith officiating. There
will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. July 20 at Tipton United Methodist
Church.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Tipton United Methodist Church.
