    Burnett anniversary

    Mr. and Mrs. Gary Burnett, of Sedalia, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a reception at 1 p.m. Sept. 21 at Sedalia Harmony Baptist Church.

    Janice Paxton and Gary Burnett were married Sept. 21, 1968, at Calvary Baptist Church in Sedalia, by the Rev. Lee Miller.

    A renewal of vows service will be conducted at the church by Dr. Lee Miller and the Rev. Elvis Durrill.

    Mr. Burnett retired from Taystee Bread Co. after 30 years. He is a corrections officer in Tipton. Mrs. Burnett is a homemaker.

    They have two children, Duston Burnett, of North Kansas City, and Dawn McNeeley, of Sedalia; and four grandchildren.

    Friends and relatives are invited to the celebration. The couple request no gifts.
