Sedalia man faces meth charges

A 64-year-old Sedalia man faces charges of possessing and manufacturing methamphetamine.

Detectives from the Sedalia Police Department STING Unit (Strike Team Investigations of Narcotics and Gangs) arrested Glenn W. Yahne at his home in the 800 block of East Sixth Street on a Pettis County warrant.

Yahne faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, manufacture of a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm and felony possession of a short barreled shotgun.

The charges stem from a search warrant officers served Sept. 15 at Yahne’s home, according to a probable cause statement written by Sgt. Phil Stewart. Officers found an electronic scale with methamphetamine residue on it, drug packaging materials, a Remington .22-caliber rifle and short barrel shotgun.

Yahne has three prior felony convictions for possession of a controlled substance.
