GET CRAZY ABOUT LEGOS
KANSAS CITY — The Art of the Brick, an art adventure with LEGO Bricks exhibit, is on display now through Sept. 7 on Level 1 of Crown Center. The exhibit consists of 30 pieces created solely from LEGO blocks by artist Nathan Sawaya. Designs include a Lennon tribute, apples, infinity, sunflower and a globe, ranging in size from 20 inches to 78 inches. Admission is free. For more information, call 816-274-8444.

FILM FESTIVAL BEGINS TONIGHT
SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Little Film Festival will be from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight and Friday. The two-night event showcases the talent of southwest Missouri filmmakers.  Each night, following the screenings, filmmakers will be brought on stage  to answer questions from the audience about their films.
Short shorts will be screened tonight at The Moxie, 431 S. Jefferson, Suite 108. These films are less than 10 minutes long.
Short films and Hardy silent shorts will be shown on Friday at the Springfield Little Theatre, 311 E. Walnut Ave.

BREW HA-HA SET AT ARENA
KANSAS CITY — The American Royal Wine & Brew Ha-Ha will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the American Royal Hale Arena, 1701 American Royal Court. Tickets are $20 in advance and may be purchased through AmericanRoyal.com, or $25 the day of the event. Admission includes free samplings at all wine and beer booths, and a commemorative glass. Attendees must be 21 or older.

CRAFTERS TO GATHER AT ESTATE
INDEPENDENCE — More than 130 vendors from a four-state area will participate in an antique and craft show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bingham-Waggoner Estate, 313 W. Pacific. Admission is free and live music and entertainment is included. Food will be available for purchase.

BARTONS TO PERFORM SATURDAY
NEWBURG — Dave Para and Cathy Barton will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Lyric Live Theater, 117 E. ‘EINSTEIN ON ICE’ SET AT CENTER
SPRINGFIELD —The Discovery Center will host its annual summer fundraiser “Einstein on Ice” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 438 E. St. Louis St.
Activities will include dry ice experiments and hands-on demonstrations. Money raised will be used for astronomy exhibits. Admission is $9.

SEE ‘BAREFOOT IN THE PARK’
HIGGINSVILLE — The Higginsville Theatre Co. will present “Barefoot in the Park” at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Higginsville Community Center at the corner of 21st and Walnut streets. Tickets for the Neil Simon comedy cost $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.

WILDERNESS TOUR SET IN CAVE

SULLIVAN—  A Fisher Cave wilderness tour will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Meramec State Park near Sullivan.
This spelunking trip will consist of semi-strenuous crawling and walking through clay-filled passages. Participants must be at least 11 years old and come equipped with a hard hat and three independent sources of light. A parent or guardian must accompany individuals under the age of 18.
Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for ages 13 to 19 and $4 for ages 11 and 12. Space is limited on both tours and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve a spot, call Erik Otto at 573-468-8155.
