Marine Parents conference set for Aug. 9

The Marine Parents Regional Conference for military and Marine families will be held in Kansas City on Aug. 9. Personnel from the USMC Mobilization Command Unit and Marines from Headquarters Company, 24th Marines, both out of Kansas City, will be present.
The 24th Marines are a reserve unit that has been deployed to Iraq. Topics of the conference will include the Individual Ready Reserves Program, deployment, warrior transitioning and post traumatic stress disorder.
Registration for the full conference is $100 and includes meals. Day event and dinner tickets are also available.
