Dowler-Martin engagement

Jess and Michelle Dowler and Betty and Mike Bartlett, all of Sedalia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Dawn Dowler, of Columbia, to Brett Wade Martin, of Columbia. He is the son of Larry and Gwen Martin, of Hartsburg.

The future bride, a 2005 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, attended State Fair Community College.

She received an associate degree in early childhood development from Moberly Area Community College in 2008. She also received her child development associate credential. She is an infant teacher at the Mary Lee Johnston Community Learning Center in Columbia.

The future groom, a 2003 graduate of Southern Boone High School in Ashland, is a heavy equipment operator at Samuel Excavating in Columbia.

A March 21 wedding is planned at the Missouri Baptist Convention Building in Jefferson City.
