Marcum-Wittenborn engagement

Michael and Susan Marcum, of Sedalia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelley Renae Marcum, of Columbia, to Scott Michael Wittenborn, of Columbia. He is the son of Brad and Michele Wittenborn, of Cape Girardeau.

The future bride, a 2006 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education and English from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2010. She received a master of education degree in teaching and curriculum from MU this year. She is an English 9 and world studies teacher at West Junior High School in Columbia.

The future groom, a 2002 graduate of Notre Dame Regional Health School in Cape Girardeau, received a bachelor of science degree in history from MU in 2007. He is working toward a master’s degree in education at Columbia College. He plans to graduate in 2012. He is a sixth-grade social studies teacher at Gentry Middle School in Columbia.

An Aug. 4, 2012, wedding is planned at Our Lady of Lourdes in Columbia.
