Crocker to observe 90th birthday

Nancy Crocker, of Lincoln, will observe her 90th birthday on Dec.. 20. She will celebrate at a private gathering.

She was born Dec. 20, 1921, one of six children of William and Nancy Henderson.

She grew up in the Avery/Wheatland area. She graduated from Warsaw High School and attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar. She taught at several rural schools in the Warsaw area before marrying Henry Crocker. They moved to the Big Buffalo area where they raised their children.

She has lived in Lincoln for about 37 years. She was a postal clerk and the officer in charge. She retired after serving as postmaster for 12 years. She enjoys crocheting, quilting and playing cards. She is a member of two quilt clubs and is a Red Hatter.

She has five children, Carolyn Schoengerdt, of Overland Park, Kan., Marilyn Williams, of Stover, Rosalyn Blankenship, of Versailles, Larry Crocker, of Bolivar, and Mary Johnson, of Pleasant Hill; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
